Shereen Wu je na TikToku delila zaskrbljujoč video, v katerem je javno izpostavila oblikovalca Michaela Costella, za katerega je nedavno hodila na modni reviji.

Oblikovalec je namreč na Instagram storyjih delil nekaj utrinkov iz šova, pri čemer je s pomočjo umetne inteligence spremenil Shereenin obraz.

Ogorčena Shereen je nato delila primerjavo na TikToku, kjer je izpostavila, da je njegovo dejanje “zelo nespoštljivo”, a oblikovalec se je branil, da tega ni storil on, temveč fotograf. Manekenka je šla še nekoliko dlje in razkrila pravo dramo v ozadju teh fotografij:

He has since offered to post my photo side by side with the AI one, but has not voluntarily post it. This offer did not contain an apology, and only happened after a model who’s close with him brought light to the situation. Some points I couldn’t fit: -Replaced the face of a model from the same collection -Lightened the skin of a black model in a photo and proceeded to push blame on the makeup artist (mua did not lighten the skin) -Screamed at models backstage (he screamed at the girl who stumbled on the runway to near tears, only to make an Instagram post praising her after.) But considering how long he’s been acting like this, I doubt any apology from him would be sincere; they would be performative at best. Michael je nato brez opravičila odstranil njeno fotografijo in namesto nje delil fotografijo Anne Wintour, narejene s pomočjo umetne inteligence, ter delil še več profilov, ki združujejo umetno inteligenco z modo. Shereen je dejala, da je to očitno storila zato, da bi ji pokazal, da “vsi počnejo to” in da ne bi smela biti jezna.
